Overview
To enter STAR VS STAR via the Contest website, click the appropriate navigational link on the Contest website, agree to abide by the official rules governing the Contest, then follow the instructions to submit your entry, which includes joining or creating a league and selecting your celebrity wishlist. Upon successfully submitting your entry, you will receive via email your username and password to be used for setting your wishlist, modifying your team of 10 celebrities during the Contest, and for accessing results and message boards.Deadline
Your Internet entry must have a completed wishlist and be in a league with other teams with completed wishlists by 12 Midnight ET on Sunday night, in order to begin the 9-week Contest the following Monday.
The first 9-week Contest begins on Monday, August 13, 2007, and ends on Sunday, October 14, 2007, spanning nine weeks of celebrity news. Celebrity news and data prior to Monday, August 13, 2007, will not be used.
You may still participate in STAR VS STAR after Monday, August 13. Each Monday, beginning Monday, August 20, a new 9-week Contest will begin and all leagues with all teams with completed wishlists by 12 Midnight ET on Sunday night will be included. Celebrity news and data prior to each 9-week Contest's start date will not be used.
League Formation
At the time of sign up, you will determine how you wish to compete in STAR VS STAR by choosing to participate in either a public or private league. All public leagues in STAR VS STAR are 8-team leagues. Private leagues in STAR VS STAR may have 8, 6, or 4 teams in them.League Options
You may choose one of the three league options:1. Join a Public League 2. Join a Private League 3. Create a Private League Join a Public League
You may choose to join a public league, and you will be grouped with 7 other team owners who have completed their wishlists.
Join a Private League
In order to join an existing private league, you must have been invited to join the league and provided with the league password. This league password is required during the sign up process.
Create a Private League
You may choose to create a new 8-team, 6-team, or 4-team private league and invite up to 7 other team owners to join your league.
If you are unable to fill your private league, you may have STAR VS STAR automatically select rosters for the remaining teams.
Fill Private League
The FILL PRIVATE LEAGUE option allows team owners who have created a private league to request that STAR VS STAR automatically fill the remaining teams.
Costs
FREE to enter!! There is a limit of five active teams per customer that can be played simultaneously. Your five active teams may be in the same 9-week Contest, five different 9-week Contests, or any combination thereof.CREATE YOUR WISHLIST
Overview
Once you have registered for STAR VS STAR, you will create a celebrity wishlist to be used to draft your team’s 10-celebrity roster. After you have completed your wishlist, your team is then DRAFT READY. If you have requested to play in a public league, your team will be grouped with 7 other teams that are DRAFT READY and your league will be entered in the 9-week Contest that begins the following Monday. If you have requested to play in a private league, your private league will begin once all teams in it are DRAFT READY.
Deadline To Create Your Wishlist
By default, your wishlist is filled with the current top 80 celebrities as ranked by STAR VS STAR. You may re-rank these celebrities and/or replace all or some of them with other celebrities in order to create your own personalized wishlist. When you have completed your wishlist, your team is then DRAFT READY. You have 24 hours following your team’s registration to do this. After 24 hours, if you have not set your wishlist, your team automatically will be DRAFT READY and will use the default wishlist.
Listed Celebrities
You can set your wishlist using any of the available listed celebrities. The celebrity list includes more than 250 celebrities that are grouped in four categories: A, B, C, and D. You may choose any combination of A, B, C, and D celebrities for your wishlist. The 10 celebrities that will be drafted for your team can be from any group or combination thereof.
Unlisted Celebrities
You cannot select an unlisted celebrity for your wishlist.DRAFT YOUR TEAM
Overview
Once all teams in your league are DRAFT READY, your initial roster of 10 celebrities will be drafted by STAR VS STAR using a pre-determined, random-generated draft order, a snake-order format, and each team’s wishlist. Once a celebrity has been selected from a team’s wishlist, the celebrity is removed from the pool of available celebrities and no other team in your league will be awarded that same celebrity.
Automated Draft
Once all teams in your league are DRAFT READY, your initial roster of 10 celebrities will be drafted by STAR VS STAR. Your league’s draft will be conducted using a pre-determined, random-generated draft order in a snake-order format such that, for an 8-team league, Team 1 picks first, Team 2 picks second, … Team 8 picks 8th, Team 8 picks 9th, Team 7 picks 10th, Team 6 picks 11th, … Team 1 picks 16th, Team 1 picks 17th, and so forth through 10 rounds. The draft order is set by STAR VS STAR and cannot be changed. In each round for each team, STAR VS STAR will draft the highest available celebrity from the team’s wishlist. If a team’s wishlist is exhausted, STAR VS STAR will select the team’s celebrity based on the current top 80 celebrities as ranked by STAR VS STAR. Once your league’s draft has been completed, you will receive an email confirming the 10-celebrity rosters of all teams in your league. |
